The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the Nigerian-German Investment and Cultural Expo (NGICE 2026) in Berlin has partnered with Catholic Television of Nigeria (CTV) to promote the event to the global community.
Chielo Ojirika, Coordinator of NGICE 2026 and Nigerian Cultural Ambassador to Germany, disclosed this at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both organisations in Abuja.
Ojirika said the LOC, chaired by former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sir Mike Okiro, selected CTV as its official media partner for the expo.
According to him, the expo is designed to showcase Nigeria’s cultural heritage and economic potential to the world, using Germany as a platform.
“The Catholic Television of Nigeria is widely known as a media organisation with the capacity to promote peaceful coexistence globally,” he said.
“As part of the programme in Germany, we will also promote global peace advocacy and related activities.
“Based on your track record, we are pleased to collaborate with you and officially present you as our media partner. That is the essence of this MoU signing.”
Ojirika, also known as Chiboy D’Black Courage, said the partnership would ensure full media coverage and global visibility for the event.
In his remarks, the Executive Managing Director of CTV, Rev. Fr. Patrick Alumuku, said the organisation would deploy its reach and viewership to promote the expo worldwide.
Represented by the Deputy Managing Director (Administration), Rev. Fr. Victor Makinwa Ogunyemu, Alumuku described the partnership as mutually beneficial.
“Even before now, this MoU signing is a win-win situation for both parties, for Salute Nigeria Initiative and for CTV,” he said.
“CTV will use its full strength of viewership to promote this event globally, and the world will come to know about the Nigerian-German Investment and Cultural Expo.
“We are grateful and excited to work with Sir Mike Okiro. He has always been a pillar of support to CTV.”
Also speaking, Okiro commended CTV for its role in promoting unity and Nigeria’s image globally, expressing confidence in the partnership.
He said the expo aims to project Nigeria positively to the world, adding that CTV’s global outlook would help achieve wider visibility.
“We are proud that you are going to support us in giving this expo global appeal,” he said.
