Nigerian Afrobeats icon Davido has once again etched his name in the annals of music history by becoming the first artist to achieve a number-one song in Nigeria for six consecutive years.

The landmark feat was confirmed by TurnTable Charts following the debut of his latest single, With You featuring Omah Lay, at the top of the TurnTable Top 100 chart. This latest success extends a remarkable run that began in 2020 and reflects Davido’s enduring dominance in Nigeria’s music industry.

A Record-Breaking Run

Davido’s chart-topping streak began with FEM in 2020, followed by FOR YOU in 2021, Baddest Boy (Remix) in 2022, NO COMPETITION in 2023, Twe Twe in 2024, and now With You in 2025.

This achievement comes amid the successful rollout of his fifth studio album, 5ive, which has spawned several hits including Awuke featuring YG Marley and Funds featuring OdumoduBlvck and Chike. The album has been lauded for its global appeal and eclectic blend of contemporary Afrobeats and international collaborations.

International Milestone

Beyond the Nigerian charts, Davido has continued to make waves globally. He recently became the first African artist to have 20 songs chart simultaneously on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart, following the release of 5ive. This milestone cements his status as a leading voice in the global music scene and underscores Afrobeats’ expanding influence on the international stage.

The tour also includes stops in Canada and the United States.

With this latest accomplishment, Davido not only reinforces his status as one of the most influential figures in African music but also sets a new benchmark for consistency and excellence in the industry.
