The Lagos State Government has sealed Donald’s Fast Food, a restaurant in Lekki allegedly owned by socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, due to illegal waste disposal practices.

The closure followed an incident on 17 May 2025, when a white Ford van with Abuja registration plates was caught dumping refuse along Durosimi-Etti Street in Lekki Phase 1. The vehicle was traced to Donald’s Fast Food, and the individuals involved were apprehended by the Lekki Estate Residents Association (LERA). An attempted bribe of ₦100,000 was reportedly offered to the security team, but it was declined.

This is not the first time the establishment has faced sanctions. In September 2024, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) sealed the restaurant over noise pollution and other environmental infractions.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, emphasised the government’s commitment to enforcing environmental laws and ensuring a clean and healthy environment for all residents.
