The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has called on tour operators seeking Tent A accommodation through Rawaf Mina to promptly upgrade their payments to secure access to the facilities.

This was revealed in a press statement issued by the Assistant Director of Information and Publication at the Commission, Fatima Sanda Usara.

The directive follows a Zoom meeting with Rawaf Mina Service Providers, with whom NAHCON has signed an agreement to provide Very Important Person (VIP) services for this year’s Hajj.

Rawaf Mina has secured 2,800 VIP bed spaces in a newly constructed five-storey building located just metres from the Jamrat. The facility comprises 23 rooms on the first floor and 30 rooms on each of the second, third, and fourth floors.

Tour operators were briefed on the upgrade procedures during the Zoom meeting.

Furthermore, the Rawaf Mina Chairman encouraged tour operators to complete their Hajj registration early, as the company plans to issue NUSUK access cards for pilgrims once all registration processes are completed.

As a result, tour operators whose intending pilgrims were initially registered under Tent D for administrative purposes but have now opted for Tent A are required to pay the balance to confirm their allocation and ensure the proper rerouting of their vehicles to the designated Mina camp.
