This empowerment initiative was showcased at the recent Women Kreatives Connect Summit (WKCS), held at Regal Hall in Ikeja, Lagos. Themed “Building as a Creative in Nigeria,” the summit brought together aspiring female creatives for a dynamic day filled with workshops, networking sessions, panel discussions, and live creative challenges.

During a candid panel discussion, Bamike Olawunmi Adenibuyan, also known as BamBam, a Nigerian actress and TAFTA ambassador, joined Nollywood actor Emeka Nwagbaraocha to share personal experiences and professional insights on turning passion into profit and navigating the unique creative landscape in Nigeria.

Highlighting TAFTA’s mission to equip women with the necessary tools and skills to thrive in the creative economy, attendees were treated to inspiring performances and received content creation kits.

This summit took place just weeks after TAFTA graduated 8,000 students across various creative disciplines, including scriptwriting, animation, and light and sound design, further reflecting the academy’s rapid expansion and impact.

TAFTA has empowered over 30,000 individuals through specialized training and professional certification programs, particularly targeting youth aged 18 to 35 in Lagos, Ogun, and Kano. The academy offers courses in animation, art business, entrepreneurship, and more.

With each workshop and summit, TAFTA continues to illuminate the path for a new generation of female creatives in Nigeria.
