Rema, Davido, and Shallipopi lead the latest Afrobeats wave, as Spotify unveils its Global Impact List for Nigeria, highlighting the top 30 Nigerian songs, and tracks featuring Nigerian artists that achieved significant international listenership in the first half of 2025.
The list ranks Nigerian music exports based on global streaming data, excluding streams from Nigeria, and reflects the growing global influence of Afrobeats and Nigerian artistry.
Rema tops the list with his viral hit “Baby (Is It a Crime),” a track that samples Sade’s timeless classic Is It a Crime. The single reinforces Rema’s position as a global sensation and follows his historic achievement as the first Afrobeats artist to hit 1 billion streams on Spotify with a single track.
Davido leads in volume with nine songs on the list more than any other artist thanks largely to the success of his fifth studio album, 5ive. His international collaborations, including features with Chris Brown, Victoria Monét, Tayc, Dadju, and Shenseea, helped propel multiple tracks onto the chart.
Burna Boy follows closely with five entries, led by his chart-topping single “TaTaTa” featuring American rapper Travis Scott. Songs from his recently released eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness, also made a strong showing.
Other Nigerian music stars featured include Ayra Starr, Asake, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy DML, Teni, Omah Lay, and Shallipopi all contributing to Nigeria’s cultural export through chart-topping sounds.

Breakout star Chella made an impressive debut at No. 4 with “My Darling,” while Minz earned a spot via his feature on Ivorian singer Himra’s “Number 1.”
A notable appearance on the list is gospel singer Lawrence Oyor, whose viral song “Favour” became one of the most streamed Nigerian songs globally in 2025, highlighting the expanding reach of Nigerian gospel music.
Spotify’s Global Impact List not only showcases the dominance of Nigerian music on the global stage but also celebrates the cross-continental collaborations that continue to elevate Afrobeats worldwide.
