In a bid to strengthen its operational capacity, administrative framework, and national visibility, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) is set to officially unveil its national secretariat and mobile application.

AGN President, Emeka Rollas, announced the development in a statement issued on Thursday in Lagos.

He revealed that the national secretariat would be inaugurated on 28 June, with attendance expected from key Nollywood stakeholders, government representatives, digital partners, and media organisations.

Rollas also disclosed that the Guild would launch its bespoke mobile app, describing it as a significant milestone in its journey towards digital transformation.

“This is more than just unveiling an app or opening an office  it’s about building a future-ready AGN.

“We are providing our members with digital access and visibility while opening our doors to the world through innovation, transparency, and collaboration.

“The AGN mobile app represents our commitment to not only reform internal operations but also to forge a stronger connection between the industry and Nollywood’s audience.

“It’s our digital handshake to the world,” he said.

The mobile app is designed to transform the way Nigerian actors engage with the Guild, manage their careers, and interact with their fan base. It will also offer a secure and transparent platform for public engagement with Nollywood stars.

Among its features, the app will serve as a digital resource centre providing access to industry news, audition notices, events, training, and career opportunities.

Users will also enjoy behind-the-scenes content, event highlights, red carpet coverage, and virtual meet-and-greet sessions with actors.
