The FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (MPWB) has set 1 December as the deadline for payment by intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj.
The Board’s Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Aliyu, said in a statement in Abuja that the Board has also released the revised fare for Hajj.
He stated that the new fare is now ₦7.69 million, as released by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
“Intending pilgrims who wish to perform Hajj through the Board should complete payment before the deadline to secure a seat and be part of the religious journey.
“All payments to the Board must be made via a bank draft, as no cash transactions will be entertained,” he added.

Lawal said that payments made before the deadline would enable the Board to compile the official list of intending pilgrims for the exercise.
He added that this would also allow the Board to remit all funds to NAHCON on schedule.
He further stated that the Board was negotiating with service providers in Saudi Arabia to provide appropriate feeding and accommodation in Makkah during the 2026 Hajj.
According to Lawal, the negotiations are in line with the Board’s desire to render the best services to FCT pilgrims.
