The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has credited the ongoing reduction in petrol prices to the Federal Government’s naira-for-crude oil initiative, which it says has significantly lowered the cost of fuel at filling stations across the country.

In a statement signed by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Mr Anthony Chiejina, the company reaffirmed its commitment to keeping petrol prices stable and affordable, despite volatility in global crude oil markets. This, it said, is part of its broader strategy to support the Nigerian economy and ease the burden of rising fuel costs on citizens.

“We are immensely grateful to President Bola Tinubu for making this possible through the commendable Naira-for-crude initiative, which has enabled us to consistently reduce the price of petroleum products for the benefit of all Nigerians,” the statement read.

The refinery noted that its decision to maintain price stability aligns with its dedication to delivering affordable, reliable, and high-quality petroleum products while upholding operational efficiency and sustainability.

Dangote Refinery further stated that this approach supports the Federal Government’s “Nigeria First Policy,” which encourages the consumption and production of locally made goods and services.

“By refining petroleum products locally at the world’s largest single-train refinery, we are proud to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s energy security, conserve foreign exchange, and strengthen economic resilience,” the statement added.

The company emphasised that these efforts are in line with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on addressing economic challenges and improving the quality of life for Nigerians.

Reassuring its stakeholders consumers, partners, and government alike Dangote Petroleum Refinery pledged continued operational excellence and national service. It reiterated its commitment to ensuring that the full benefits of local refining are felt across the country.
