The nominees for the 2025 Ballon d’Or are scheduled to be revealed in early August, with 100 journalists from the top-ranked FIFA nations responsible for casting votes to decide the winners. Although the full list of nominees has yet to be published, players such as Ousmane Dembélé, Raphinha, Kylian Mbappé, and Mohamed Salah are anticipated to feature among the contenders.
Beyond the men’s and women’s Ballon d’Or awards, the ceremony will also recognise excellence in several other categories, including the Kopa Trophy for the best young player, the Yashin Trophy for the best goalkeeper, the Gerd Müller Trophy for the top scorer, the Johan Cruyff Trophy for the best coach, as well as awards for Club of the Year and the Socrates Award for social impact.
