Tems Confirms Second Album for 2026 at London Show

During a live performance in London, Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Tems shared exciting news with fans, announcing that her long-awaited second studio album is set to be released in 2026, alongside other new music .

The news came shortly after she was honoured with the prestigious Billboard Diamond Award at the Billboard Global Power Players event, which also recognised Nigerian rap icon Olamide.

Tems’ recognition by Billboard further solidifies her international profile, particularly in the United States, where she remains one of Africa’s most prominent musical exports.

She recently received another RIAA Gold certification for her single Love Me Jeje, which has now surpassed 500,000 units in sales in the US. This adds to four previous RIAA certifications, further establishing her as one of Nigeria’s most decorated artists globally.

Love Me Jeje, one of her most successful tracks to date, also earned her a second Grammy Award for Best African Song Performance at the 67th Grammy Awards.

Tems’ rising global influence was also evident at the 2025 Met Gala, where she was among the high-profile attendees. Speaking on the red carpet, she used the occasion to advocate for broader recognition of African music beyond Afrobeats, stressing that other genres from the continent have the potential to gain international acclaim just as Afrobeats has.
