Governors from Nigeria’s North-Central states have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The endorsement was announced at the All Progressives Congress (APC) North-Central mega rally held at Lafia Square, Nasarawa State.
Welcoming party leaders and supporters to the rally, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule declared that the state would vote for Tinubu and other APC candidates.
Sule expressed confidence in the party’s electoral prospects, reaffirming Nasarawa’s commitment to supporting its candidates.
Governors from Benue, Plateau, Kwara, Kogi, Niger and Nasarawa states also backed Tinubu’s re-election bid, citing what they described as progress in the economy and other sectors under his administration.
Speaking at the event, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu expressed optimism that the economic difficulties facing Nigerians would ease, assuring citizens of better conditions if the President secured another term.
She highlighted government interventions in healthcare, road infrastructure and education, particularly the students’ loan scheme, which she said was intended to expand access to higher education.
