A captivating Nollywood movie, Over The Bridge, is set to premiere in cinemas across Nigeria on 5 September, according to its producers.
Nile Entertainment, the film’s distribution company, confirmed the release date in a post on its verified Instagram page, announcing: “Over The Bridge debuts in Nigerian Cinemas from Sept. 5.”
The highly anticipated psychological thriller, written by Tosin Otudeko and produced by Bose Oshi, boasts a star-studded cast including Segilola Ogidan and Nollywood veteran Joke Silva. Other notable actors featured in the film are Akin Lewis, Deyemi Okanlawon, Chimezie Imo, Ozzy Agu, Paul Adams, Ropo Ewenla, Toyin Oshinaike, and Elma Mbadiwe.
Directed by Tolu Ajayi, Over The Bridge tells the gripping story of an investment banker whose life spirals out of control following a high-profile project scandal. As he retreats to confront his inner turmoil, his wife is left to navigate life in his absence, while the world around them shifts dramatically.

The film, which explores themes of ambition, identity, and mental health, has already earned recognition on the international stage. It was the Opening Night Film at the 2024 New York African Film Festival and received multiple nominations at the 2024 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), including Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography.
