In a renewed effort to empower displaced persons and vulnerable youth through digital inclusion, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) have agreed to deepen their collaboration.
The Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, received the Federal Commissioner of NCFRMI, Mr Aliyu Tijani Ahmed, to formalise plans to expand digital literacy and enhance access to ICT tools among displaced populations.

During the meeting, both agencies explored strategies to roll out tailored training programmes designed to meet the specific needs of displaced persons and the Commission’s staff. Inuwa noted that this year’s interventions would be more focused, with a dedicated technical team from NITDA working closely with NCFRMI to co-create impactful digital solutions.
The partnership, which aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inclusive development agenda, is aimed at equipping vulnerable communities with the digital skills and tools required to improve their livelihoods and foster resilience in displacement settings.
