The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (FMCIDE), in partnership with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), has invited top Nigerian startups to apply for a fully sponsored trip to VivaTech 2025, Europe’s largest tech and startup event, taking place in Paris, France.
According to the ministry, selected startups will benefit from a fully sponsored trip and have the opportunity to exhibit at the Nigeria Pavilion. This initiative, facilitated by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to promote homegrown innovation and increase global visibility for Nigerian tech entrepreneurs
Applications opened on 10 May 2025, and the deadline for submission is 20 May 2025.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:

Be registered as a Nigerian Limited Liability Company with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

Be listed on the Nigeria Startup Portal, in compliance with the Nigeria Startup Act

Have at least a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or a live pilot with evidence of user engagement or revenue

Demonstrate innovation using digital technologies

Hold a competitive advantage (defensible IP, proprietary technology, or partnerships)
Selected startups will be part of Nigeria’s official delegation and benefit from:

Exhibition space at the Nigeria Pavilion

A global platform to showcase their innovations

Direct access to international investors and business opportunities
The initiative forms part of the Federal Government’s commitment to promoting Nigerian innovation on the global stage, supporting tech entrepreneurship, and driving economic diversification under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
