Nigerian media icon Professor Tonnie Iredia gave away his daughter Irene in marriage on Saturday at the Holy Trinity Church in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The ceremony was attended by notable dignitaries, including Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Scandinavian countries, and Professor Oserheimen Osunbor, former Governor of Edo State.
Ambassador Igali commended the couple’s union as a symbol of ethnic unity and encouraged them to remain strong and prayerful. Professor Osunbor urged the couple to uphold their dignity and make their families proud, especially during challenging times.
Dr. Igali described the marriage as a union across ethnic groups among Nigerians and urged the couple, “To remain strong, prayerful, and leave the rest to God.”
The newlyweds expressed their commitment to their marital vows, describing their union as a divine blessing and pledging to uphold the sanctity of marriage.
