The family of Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has announced his death, saying he passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
The family disclosed the development in a statement posted on the singer’s TikTok account, expressing grief over the loss of the gospel minister, who was associated with Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry (TOGOMM).
“With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Minister Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry (TOGOMM), who passed away in the early hours of 14 October 2026,” the statement read.
The family described him as a beloved husband and family member, while appealing to the public to remember his wife and loved ones in their prayers.
It added that details of the funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.
The singer’s death has prompted an outpouring of grief from fans, colleagues and other Nigerians on social media, although the cause of his death had not been disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
Pelumi Olajengbesi, convener of the Coalition of Public Interest Lawyers and Advocates, expressed sadness over the development in a post on Instagram, calling for prayers and divine mercy.
Sharing a photograph of the singer, Olajengbesi wrote: “My God! What a life! No, Lord! We plead for Your mercy upon Toluwanisings.
“I am deeply troubled by the deaths of young men and women. This is not God’s plan for us.
“We say no to untimely death.”
The family has yet to announce the funeral arrangements, while the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death remain unknown.
