Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, has introduced a digital platform to enable Nigerians to question him on his political record, policy proposals and plans for the country.
The platform, tagged Ask AA, is scheduled to go live at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, according to a statement by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council.
The initiative will allow citizens to submit questions and suggestions on key national issues, including the economy, security, technology, job creation and measures to reduce the cost of living.

The statement said Atiku would personally answer questions submitted through the portal, with members of his media team also assisting in responding to enquiries.
It explained that the platform was designed to improve communication between the presidential candidate and the electorate by providing direct access to his views on national issues and proposed policies.
Shaibu said the initiative was intended to bring Atiku closer to Nigerians through practical engagement focused on addressing their concerns.
“The objective of this initiative is to bring Atiku Abubakar closer to the electorate through a practical, problem-solving platform,” he said.
He added that the project reflected Atiku’s interest in deploying modern technology to promote more efficient, secure and effective governance.
The campaign council also disclosed plans to introduce a radio-based interface to enable people in communities with limited or no internet access to participate.
In a message announcing the initiative on his social media accounts, Atiku said the idea was driven by his belief that effective leadership required regular communication between those in authority and the people they serve.
He argued that governance had become too distant from ordinary citizens and stressed the need to remove barriers between leaders and the electorate.
Atiku described Ask AA as a platform for transparency, accountability and open dialogue, saying Nigerians would have the opportunity to scrutinise his economic record, assess his policy proposals and contribute ideas on national development.
“No filters, no intermediaries,” he said.
The former vice-president also said he would personally telephone selected participants who provided their contact details, enabling him to hear first-hand about their experiences and the challenges affecting their daily lives.
“Beyond answering questions here, I will personally call selected citizens who leave their contact details so I can hear directly about their experiences and the issues affecting their daily lives,” he said.
Atiku, who served as vice-president from 1999 to 2007, has contested the Nigerian presidency several times.
He urged Nigerians to use the platform to submit questions and recommendations, maintaining that transparent, technology-driven governance should begin with leaders listening directly to citizens.
