Afrobeats superstar Davido has confirmed plans for a joint album and tour with American R&B singer Chris Brown, marking a new chapter in their longstanding musical collaboration.
The announcement, made during a recent interview, has generated significant buzz among fans of both artistes. “It’s gonna happen. It’s locked. That’s my brother,” Davido declared, signalling that the partnership is already in motion.
The joint album is scheduled for release in 2026 and will be accompanied by a global tour that is expected to span Africa and Europe. This development follows the success of their latest collaboration, Titanium, featured on Davido’s recently released fifth studio album, 5ive, which dropped on 18 April 2025.

Titanium has already achieved critical and commercial success, peaking at number seven on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart and number 30 on Nigeria’s TurnTable Top 100. The track showcases the synergy between the Nigerian and American stars, blending Afrobeat rhythms with smooth R&B vocals.
Davido and Chris Brown have a history of working together, with previous hits such as Blow My Mind and Shopping Spree earning them acclaim. Their decision to produce an entire album and tour together marks a deepening of that creative relationship.
Fans across continents are looking forward to the fusion of the two global music powerhouses. The forthcoming project is expected to deliver genre-defying tracks and high-energy performances that highlight the best of Afrobeats and contemporary R&B.
