In a bid to enhance mutually beneficial partnerships and encourage healthy competition, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) and Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals (DPRP) have renewed their commitment to closer collaboration focused on safeguarding Nigeria’s energy future and promoting shared prosperity.
This commitment was reaffirmed during a courtesy visit by the President and Chief Executive of Dangote Group, Mr Aliko Dangote, and his delegation to the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd., Mr Bashir Bayo Ojulari, and members of the company’s senior management team at the NNPC Towers on Thursday.
During the meeting, Mr Dangote expressed a willingness to work closely with the new NNPC leadership in safeguarding the nation’s energy security.
“There is no competition between us; we are not here to compete with NNPC Ltd. NNPC is part of our business, just as we are a part of NNPC. This is an era of cooperation between our two organisations,” he stated.
He congratulated Mr Ojulari and his management team on their appointments, acknowledging the weight of the responsibilities ahead. He expressed confidence in the GCEO’s ability to deliver, supported by what he described as a competent team within NNPC.
