CAF Top Award Names Hakimi, Salah, Osimhen as Finalists

Achraf Hakimi, Mohamed Salah and Victor Osimhen have been named the three finalists for Africa’s top men’s football award, narrowing the race for one of the continent’s most prestigious honours.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the final shortlist on Sunday, confirming the trio as leading contenders based on their performances for club and country over the past season.

Hakimi, Morocco’s star defender, has enjoyed a standout year with Paris St Germain, contributing to domestic success and delivering consistent performances on the international stage.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah returns to the final three after another prolific year in the Premier League, where he remains one of the division’s most reliable goal scorers.

Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen, who won the award last year, is again in contention following a strong campaign with Napoli, where he helped the club remain competitive in Serie A despite injury setbacks.

The winner will be announced at the CAF Awards ceremony scheduled to take place later this month.
