The Executive Committee (EXCO) of the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) convened in Accra, Ghana, on Saturday ahead of the final matches of the CAF African Schools Football Championship.
CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, who chaired the meeting, announced the appointment of five new CAF Vice Presidents.
The newly appointed CAF Vice Presidents are:
- First Vice President: Mr Fouzi Lekjaa (Morocco)
- Second Vice President: Mr Kurt Okraku (Ghana)
- Third Vice President: Mr Pierre-Alain Mounguengui (Gabon)
- Fourth Vice President: Ms Bestine Kazadi Ditabala (Democratic Republic of Congo)
- Fifth Vice President: Mr Feizal Sidat (Mozambique)
In addition, Dr Motsepe confirmed that Yacine Idriss Diallo, President of the Fédération Ivoirienne de Football (FIF), has been co-opted onto the CAF Executive Committee.
The CAF Executive Committee also approved nominations to fill vacant positions across several CAF Committees, including:
Organising Committee for the African Nations Championship (CHAN)
- President: Mr Pierre-Alain Mounguengui (Gabon)
CAF Technical and Development Committee
- President: Mr Samuel Eto’o (Cameroon)
- Vice President: Mr Malouche Belhassen (Tunisia)
CAF Medical Committee
- President: Dr Mohammed Bouya (Mauritania)
- Vice President: Dr Thulani Ngwenya (South Africa)
Dr Motsepe expressed his appreciation to the outgoing CAF Vice Presidents, acknowledging their contributions and leadership during their tenure.
