Real Madrid, however, responded strongly in the second half. Kylian Mbappé levelled the contest with a superbly taken free-kick in the 70th minute, before Aurélien Tchouaméni put Madrid ahead with a well-placed header. The momentum appeared to be swinging towards Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
