Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a new reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) across Nigeria, lowering prices by N15 per litre. The fresh pricing, shared on the refinery’s official social media channels on Thursday, sets petrol prices between N875 and N905 per litre depending on the region.
The new rates apply to all major fuel marketers partnered with Dangote Refinery, including MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy. Under the revised price structure, Lagos motorists will now pay N875 per litre, down from N890, while prices in the North East and South-South regions will be N905, reduced from N920.
A regional price breakdown is as follows:
-
Lagos: N875
-
South-West: N885
-
North-East: N905
-
North-West & Central: N895
-
South-South & South-East: N905
The refinery urged consumers to buy petrol only from its authorised partner outlets and encouraged the public to report any violations via its hotlines: +234 707 470 2099 or +234 707 470 2100.
The company highlighted that its refined petrol and diesel are engineered for better engine performance and are environmentally friendly.

This price cut follows the recent reinstatement of a refund benefit policy for customers, signalling Dangote’s commitment to making fuel more affordable. The announcement comes amid reports of large-scale petrol imports by independent marketers, with over 496 million litres brought into the country within nine days in May 2025.
Dangote Refinery attributes the price reduction to the naira-for-crude oil deal, which has helped lower production costs despite fluctuating global oil prices. The company assured that it would continue to stabilise fuel prices to support the Nigerian economy and ease the financial burden on consumers.
Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer at Dangote Petroleum Refinery, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to price stability and economic support in an official statement.
