BBNaija No Loose Guard housemate DJ Flow has opened up about the end of her decade-long friendship with fellow ex-housemate Ruthie, stating that she can no longer fight battles that are not hers.
Speaking during the No Loose Guard reunion show, which began airing on 23 June 2025, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu questioned DJ Flow on the circumstances that led to the pair’s public fallout. In response, DJ Flow revealed that although she and Ruthie had previously discussed her stance on not engaging in online confrontations, Ruthie’s subsequent behaviour disappointed her.
The reality star disclosed that she had communicated her position to Ruthie before the show, making it clear that she was not one to react to social media drama even if it involved her directly.
“I can have your back and support you, but I don’t have to go into a fight with you,” DJ Flow said. “We had a conversation before where she asked, ‘If they’re dragging someone on social media, will you respond?’ And I said, ‘You know me. Even if they drag me, I don’t respond, so why would I do it for someone else?’”

According to her, the breaking point in the friendship came after Ruthie gave an interview where she made remarks that DJ Flow described as hurtful and disappointing. She noted that while she had been searching for a reason to finally walk away from the strained friendship, Ruthie’s interview gave her the clarity she needed.
“I try not to have regrets, and I truly cherish the 10 years we spent as friends,” she said. “But I also believe that we don’t go through life with every single person forever. Sometimes, people are only meant to journey with us for a season.”
DJ Flow admitted that while she still has love for Ruthie and wishes her well, the friendship no longer serves her emotionally or spiritually. She stressed that parting ways was necessary for her personal growth and peace of mind.
“I feel like we’ve reached a point in life where we need to go our separate ways,” she concluded. “And that’s perfectly fine.”
The revelation has sparked conversations among fans, many of whom had followed the duo’s friendship since their early days in the BBNaija house.
