Apple is reportedly preparing to launch its first smart glasses by the end of next year, according to Bloomberg News, in a move aimed at expanding its product range and increasing demand for its artificial intelligence-powered devices.
Citing sources familiar with the matter, the report states that Apple intends to begin large-scale production of prototypes later this year in collaboration with overseas suppliers.
This development follows the market response to Apple’s Vision Pro headset, which faced criticism for its high price and limited AI capabilities.

The new smart glasses are expected to rival Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses, which have gained traction among consumers.
In a related development, Apple has reportedly cancelled plans to introduce a smartwatch capable of analysing its surroundings via an integrated camera. The company had been actively developing the device with a target release date of 2027, but the project has since been discontinued.
Apple has not yet responded to requests for comment on the reports.
