The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering inclusive technological growth by participating in the HAUSATECH IGNITE Conference held in Kano State.
With the theme “Invent, Generate, Navigate, Inspire, Thrive, and Expand,” the conference brought together key stakeholders, innovators, and thought leaders to explore the future of technology in Hausa-speaking regions and beyond.

HausaTech, is an initiative designed to catalyse innovation and growth within the Hausa tech ecosystem. It provides a dynamic platform for networking, collaboration, mentorship, co-creation, and knowledge sharing among tech enthusiasts, start-ups, and industry experts.

NITDA’s involvement underscored the agency’s drive to promote digital inclusion and empower local communities through strategic engagement and support for indigenous innovation. The agency also used the platform to encourage young innovators to harness emerging technologies for sustainable development and job creation.
The conference featured a series of interactive sessions, workshops, and panel discussions that addressed key trends in technology and explored how communities in northern Nigeria can leverage digital tools to improve education, healthcare, commerce, and governance.
By participating in HAUSATECH IGNITE, NITDA reinforced its vision of building a robust and inclusive digital economy for all Nigerians, irrespective of geographical or linguistic backgrounds.
