The Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, has arrived in Abuja for a high-level audience with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The monarch was received at the State House shortly after the President concluded a closed-door session with Nigeria’s security chiefs and the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

Oba Owoade arrived in the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday ahead of his strategic engagement with the President and Commander-in-Chief. The meeting marks the monarch’s first official audience with President Tinubu since his coronation.
The visit underscores the vital role of traditional institutions in national governance and reflects the ongoing collaboration between the federal government and royal authorities.
