Veteran Nigerian controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze, has officially joined The Honest Bunch Podcast as a co-host, following the departure of comedian and radio host Nedu Wazobia.
The announcement was made on Sunday via the podcast’s official Instagram page, where Daddy Freeze was unveiled with the caption: “Get ready for hotter takes, deeper convos, and unapologetic honesty. Say hello to our latest addition @daddyfreeze.”
Daddy Freeze, whose real name is Ifedayo Olarinde, also confirmed the development with a bold statement on his own social media page: “A new era has begun.”
The podcast, known for its unfiltered discussions on relationships, culture, and Nigerian society, has grown into one of the most-watched digital talk shows in the country. Daddy Freeze’s inclusion is seen as a strategic move to maintain its momentum and appeal to a wider, more critical audience.
Though the show has not officially stated why Nedu stepped down, his exit follows weeks of controversy, including a public spat with activist and influencer VeryDarkMan, who criticised the show for allegedly promoting harmful narratives. However, Nedu, in a previously shared video, clarified that he was not sacked but chose to step back: “I took the decision to leave because of my family. I don’t want to put them through unnecessary drama.”
