Tinubu Swears In New INEC Commissioners, CCB Board Members

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in newly appointed Commissioners of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The oath-taking ceremony took place at the start of Monday’s Federal Executive Council meeting, held at the State House in Abuja.

The swearing-in followed introductory remarks by the State House Director of Media and Publicity, Mr Abiodun Oladunjoye.

The newly sworn-in INEC Commissioners are Mallam Tukur Abdulrazaq Yusuf, representing the North-West, and Professor Sunday Nwambam Aja, representing Ebonyi State.

The President also administered the oath of office to two newly appointed members of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) Board: Ikpeme Kenneth Ndem from Cross River State, and Hon. Justice Buba Ibrahim Nyaure (Rtd) from Taraba State.

Present at the meeting were the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; and the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

Also in attendance were the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu; and Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, among other cabinet members.
