The National Chairman of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Yabagi Sani, has announced that the party will hold its National Convention on May 29, 2026.

Sani said the event is scheduled to take place a day after the Sallah celebration and called on Nigerians to take part in what he described as a historic gathering.

“The Action Democratic Party prepares to hold its National Convention on Friday, 29th May 2026, just a day after Sallah. We invite all Nigerians to join us in this auspicious, momentous and historic occasion,” he said.

He explained that the convention would give the party an opportunity to present what he called a credible leadership alternative for the country.

“At this Convention, the ADP shall present to Nigerians a credible leadership alternative that will usher in a new era of sustained economic growth, national prosperity, peace and happiness for all the people of Nigeria,” Sani stated.

The party’s 2023 presidential candidate added: “We therefore call on all patriotic Nigerians, youths, women, professionals, workers, farmers, entrepreneurs, faith leaders, traditional leaders and all citizens of goodwill to join the ADP now.”

He also described the party as a “political Noah’s Ark” offering a platform for national renewal and development.

“In these challenging times, the ADP stands as a political Noah’s Ark — a safe, credible and purposeful platform for national rescue, renewal and prosperity,” he said.

Sani further extended his goodwill messages to Muslim faithful, traditional rulers, religious leaders, party members, supporters and Nigerians at large.
