President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated veteran broadcaster and media entrepreneur, Prince Bisi Olatilo, on the golden jubilee of his illustrious broadcasting career.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Olatilo, the Chief Executive of Biscom Communications, for dedicating five decades to promoting national unity and advancing Nigeria’s development through the media.
The President lauded Olatilo’s unwavering commitment, resilience, and storytelling prowess, which, he noted, have positively impacted lives both within and beyond Nigeria. He further commended Olatilo’s wide-ranging influence across print media, advertising, public relations, and strategic communications.
President Tinubu also celebrated the 25th anniversary of The Bisi Olatilo Show, a popular mini-documentary programme that has become a staple in Nigerian households. He highlighted the broadcaster’s multilingual fluency in Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo as an inspiration to younger generations and a key element of his enduring appeal.
Describing Olatilo as a deserving recipient of multiple honours, including the prestigious Nigerian Media Merit Award, the President acknowledged his legacy as a national media icon.
Additionally, President Tinubu extended warm wishes to Prince Olatilo on his 71st birthday, praying that God grants him long life, continued good health, and the wisdom to keep serving the nation and humanity.
