President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Magnus Abe, lawyer and former senator representing Rivers South-East, as he marks his 60th birthday on 24 May.
Abe, who was first elected to the Senate in April 2011 and re-elected in the 2016 rerun, was celebrated by the President for his service to the nation and his role in promoting peace and unity across Rivers State and the wider Niger Delta.
In a statement issued on Friday by his spokesman, Mr Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu commended Abe’s contributions as Commissioner for Information and Secretary to the State Government in Rivers between 2003 and 2007.

He described the former senator as a trusted political ally and partner in the ongoing efforts to build a stronger, more prosperous, and united Nigeria under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
President Tinubu extended his best wishes to Abe and prayed for continued impact and success in the years ahead.
