The Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Mr. Abbas Tajudeen, will engage with Nigerians, particularly the youth, on the activities of the federal parliament under his leadership on Monday, April 28, 2025.
The engagement, which will be streamed live on his official and personal social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and X, formerly Twitter), will feature a sample audience at the National Assembly, where mock legislative processes will be demonstrated and explained.
Entitled ‘Speaker’s New Media Exchange 2025’, the sample group will represent various genders, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.

With the theme ‘Smart Cities and Ethical Media; Navigating the Role of Policy in National Development’, the event will bring together key national and international figures from sectors such as media, technology, public relations, policy development, and civic engagement, each with significant influence in the digital media space.
Key sessions will address topics such as ‘Legislating for Digital Responsibility: Curbing Fake News and Promoting Patriotism in the Social Media Era’, and ‘Smart Cities, Thriving Athletes: How Policy Shapes Infrastructure and Sports Development’.
The engagement will also include interactive breakout sessions where the public and members of the House will have the opportunity to present a mock bill.
