Russia’s military has struck a ship carrying military and dual-use cargo to Ukraine’s port city of Mykolaiv, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Tuesday, without reporting attacks on energy facilities following the announcement of an energy ceasefire.
The ministry’s statement came after US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday an agreement on a halt to attacks on energy infrastructure.
Reuters could not independently verify the Russian military’s account.
According to the Defence Ministry, Russian forces also struck several facilities in Kyiv and the Mykolaiv region during overnight operations.
In Kyiv, the targets included a workshop at the Pulp Mill Print facility, where the ministry alleged that missiles and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles were being produced.

Russian forces also hit the Darnytsia locomotive depot, which the ministry said was used to repair railway rolling stock transporting military and dual-use supplies for Ukrainian forces.
In the Mykolaiv region, the ministry said Russian forces struck a Nova Poshta logistics centre in Ternivka, which it alleged stored dual-use cargo for the Ukrainian armed forces, as well as a warehouse containing unmanned aerial vehicles in Meshkovo-Pohorelove.
The ministry added that a dry cargo vessel carrying military and dual-use goods to the port of Mykolaiv was hit in the Bug estuary.
The statement did not report strikes on energy facilities. However, the ministry’s claims about the targets and the extent of the damage could not be independently verified.
