Popular Nigerian Afrobeats artiste Omah Lay was reportedly involved in a car accident in Lagos on Saturday, 17 May 2025.
According to circulating reports and viral videos on social media, the incident involved two of the singer’s Tesla Cybertrucks. The vehicles were seen badly damaged and being towed from the scene, while onlookers gathered around. In one of the videos, Omah Lay was captured walking away from the wreckage, visibly shaken but seemingly unhurt.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear, and neither the singer nor his management has issued an official statement at the time of reporting.
Fans have since taken to various platforms to express concern and relief over the singer’s wellbeing, praising what appears to be a fortunate escape from serious harm.
Omah Lay, who gained fame with hits such as Bad Influence and Godly, remains one of the leading voices in Nigeria’s contemporary music scene.
