As Nigeria gears up to host the world at GITEX Nigeria 2025, the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to discuss the forthcoming event.
Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed his enthusiasm for NITDA’s decision to showcase Nigeria’s thriving tech ecosystem on the global stage. He pledged the full support of the Lagos State Government to ensure that the event is successful and leaves a lasting impression.
This visit comes after the Federal Government, through NITDA, signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 30th May 2024, to host the world’s largest technology fair, GITEX, in Nigeria for the first time. The agreement was formalised at GITEX Africa in Marrakesh, Morocco, with Kashifu Inuwa signing on behalf of NITDA and Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of KAOUN International, the organisers of GITEX Global, GITEX Africa, and GITEX Europe.
