The meeting follows IFA’s public call for action during a media roundtable on Wednesday, 30 January 2025, themed “Digital Literacy for Women and Girls with Disabilities.” The event, held in Abuja, was organised by IFA with the support of Rise Up and the Public Health Institute.
Responding to the advocacy, the NITDA Director General assured the group of the agency’s commitment to ensuring that PWDs are fully integrated into the ongoing National Digital Literacy Initiative, which is currently being implemented across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
This engagement represents a significant step towards inclusive digital empowerment and aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises equal access to opportunities for all Nigerians.
