Nigeria’s digital identity verification sector has received a significant boost with the official launch of Identigo App, a technology-driven application aimed at boosting trust in recruitment and verification processes in the country.
The Executive Director of Identigo, Ms Olabusayo Soetan, made this known in a statement issued in Lagos on Friday.
According to Soetan, the app is designed to rebuild trust, enhance security, and support decision-making in recruitment and other sensitive processes.
She noted that Identigo was officially unveiled in Lekki, Lagos, in the presence of key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors.

Soetan explained that the platform was developed in response to the growing demand for preventive security measures, particularly in areas such as employment screening and document authentication.
“This is more than just a product launch; it is a mission to restore confidence in our systems,” she said.
“Identigo is designed to provide reliable background checks, enabling individuals, organisations, and government agencies to verify the authenticity of identities, certificates, land documents, and more.
“Our operations prioritise preventive security over reactive approaches, giving clients access to credible information that can protect against fraud, misjudgements, and various risks.”
