Professor Akinola Akinlabi, Rector of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), has stated that the appointment of a new governing council will usher in remarkable development for the institution.
Akinlabi conveyed this in a statement issued on Monday by the college’s Registrar, Mr Rasheed Adeniji.
The Rector congratulated the newly appointed Chairman and members of the Council, while commending Governor Seyi Makinde for the timely nature of the appointment.

He described the inauguration of the Council as a positive step in line with the developmental objectives of the Oyo State Government.
“This appointment will ensure rapid transformation and growth for the institution,” Akinlabi affirmed.
He expressed confidence that the new Council would build upon the achievements of Professor Lateef Sanni’s previous administration.
Akinlabi added that the Council members are expected to make meaningful contributions towards the college’s progress and stability.
“Management will work closely with the Council to realise our vision of innovation, food security, and youth empowerment,” he said.
The Rector also praised Governor Makinde for his commitment to educational development and people-centred governance.
He extended congratulations to the governor on completing six years in office, offering prayers for continued wisdom and good health in his service to the state.
Dr Amusan Damilare Gideon has been appointed as the new Chairman of the OYSCATECH Governing Council.
Other members include Alhaji Salami Lateef Adebayo, Mr Oseni Abolade Olosun, Dr Adekunle Onile, Mr Kareem Adesina Rashid, Dr Saheed Adetunji Ige, Mr Joseph Oladapo Olaoye, and Mr Babatunde Akeem.
