Onyinyechi Basil, representing Anambra State, has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025.
Basil triumphed over Miss Lagos, Damilola Bolarinde, in the final round to claim the highly coveted crown at the grand finale of the pageant held on Saturday night in Lagos.
Miss Bayelsa, Fortune Kurobo, finished as second runner-up, while Miss Ogun, Irene Ikediashi, emerged third runner-up. Miss Akwa Ibom, Idah Eno, also made the top five and was crowned Miss Supranational Nigeria 2025.
Out of 22 contestants who began the competition, only 10 advanced to the final stage, including Miss Delta, Miss Ekiti, Miss Oyo, Miss Imo, and Miss Ebonyi.

The glamorous event, hosted by Anthony Abraham and Victory Wilson, drew a large audience and generated significant buzz across social media as fans followed the countdown to the crown.
Basil succeeds Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, Chidinma Adetshina, who currently holds the title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania.
With her victory, Basil will now represent Nigeria at the global Miss Universe pageant later this year, competing against contestants from around the world.
