JAMB Confirms 2026 UTME Fees Remain Unchanged

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has enlisted the support of technical experts to address a surge of unusual complaints following the release of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, which were officially published last Friday.

In a statement on Sunday, JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, confirmed that the Board had taken the concerns seriously and was conducting a thorough review of the entire examination process. He said the Board carries out a comprehensive post-mortem after every examination cycle, focusing on three critical phases: registration, examination, and result release.

During the examination phase, JAMB ensures that every candidate is afforded the opportunity to sit for the test. Should any technical issues arise, the Board reschedules the examination for affected candidates without hesitation,” he said.

Dr Benjamin noted that the Board was particularly concerned about a series of complaints from certain states, which are now under detailed scrutiny to determine the nature and scope of any technical lapses that may have occurred.

To this end, JAMB has brought in professionals from various reputable bodies, including the Computer Professionals Association of Nigeria, Chief External Examiners who are heads of tertiary institutions, the Educational Assessment and Research Network in Africa, measurement experts, and Vice-Chancellors from several universities.

If any real glitches are discovered during this investigation, the Board will implement appropriate remedial measures without delay,” he assured.
