Gombe Governor Appoints Advisers, Special Assistants to Strengthen Governance

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of a Special Adviser, several Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants across key sectors.

The announcement was made in a statement released on Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, and signed by the Director-General of Press Affairs, Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli.

According to the statement, the appointments are part of the governor’s ongoing drive to improve administrative coordination, enhance public engagement, and promote grassroots participation in policy implementation and development planning.

Among the newly appointed officials is Abubakar Abdullahi (Habun DK), named Special Adviser on Agriculture and Farmer-Herder Coordination. Alhaji Muhammad Saleh Jauro (Jauro Hammadu) has been appointed Senior Special Assistant II on Public Communications, while Mrs Euphemia Chizoba Obio-Okeke and Hajiya Hannatu M. Ibrahim will both serve as Senior Special Assistants II on Community Relations.

Those appointed as Special Assistants II (Political) include Aminu Abdullahi Musa, Abubakar Musa Bojude, Usman Baba Mohammed, Dahiru Mohammed Umar, Ibrahim Bapparu (Kala), Umar Abdullahi Rambo, Adamu Mohammed (Maja), Musa Aliyu, and Bulus Yerima Bangunji.

Hajiya Amina Abubakar, Sadiya Alhassan Aminu Maiwake, and Lami Adamu were appointed as Special Assistants II on Women Mobilisation.

All appointments are effective from 22 May 2025.

Governor Yahaya expressed confidence in the competence, loyalty, and dedication of the appointees, stating that they are expected to bring added value to governance and service delivery in Gombe State.
