FMACTCE Unveils Creative Economy Data Mapping Report

The Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy (FMACTCE) has released the Creative Economy Data Mapping Report, a landmark study offering a comprehensive overview of opportunities across Nigeria’s creative value chain.

The report was unveiled on Thursday at the Creative Industries Economic Coordination and Investment Summit in Lagos, organised by the British Council as part of activities marking the 2025 Creative Economy Week.

It highlights prospects for investment in film, music, fashion, design, digital content, tourism, and cultural infrastructure, while identifying critical gaps in financing, infrastructure, and investment. The study also spotlights priority sectors with the potential to drive significant economic expansion.

The initiative represents a key step towards the Ministry’s target of creating two million jobs in the creative economy by 2030 under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to the Ministry, the report will serve as a roadmap and practical tool for private sector actors, investors, and government agencies, providing a data-driven basis for decision-making and growth in the creative and cultural sectors.
