Former Nigerian senator Dino Melaye has responded sharply to entertainer Charles Oputa, known as Charly Boy, following the latter’s critical remarks about Melaye’s ostentatious lifestyle.
The feud started after Melaye posted a video on social media describing himself as “a limited edition.” Charly Boy reacted by hinting that such public displays of wealth might be a cover for deeper issues, saying, “Not all mental illnesses are noticeable.”

In reply, Melaye accused Charly Boy of trying to gain attention by attacking him. In a Facebook video, he mocked Charly Boy’s living conditions, claiming the veteran entertainer has a leaking roof but cannot afford repairs, yet displays a large motorcycle as a showpiece outside his home.
Melaye concluded his response by saying, “Charly Boy’s destiny has been thrown inside a freezer,” implying that Charly Boy is struggling for relevance.
The back-and-forth has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many users weighing in on the spat between the two public figures.
