Sony Music Publishing has entered into a landmark publishing agreement with Nigerian highlife legend Bright Chimezie, aimed at preserving and reinvigorating his rich musical heritage.
Renowned for his energetic style and the invention of the “Zigima Sound,” Chimezie has played a pivotal role in shaping modern highlife and Afrobeat music.
Under the agreement, Sony Music Publishing will oversee and manage Chimezie’s extensive catalogue of classic compositions and recordings. The partnership is designed to introduce his timeless music to new global audiences while safeguarding and promoting his creative legacy.
