The Federal of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy (FMACTCE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Anambra State Government to strengthen collaboration in promoting Nigeria’s creative, cultural, and tourism sectors.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, on behalf of the Federal Government, and the Anambra State Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Mr Don Onyeji, on behalf of the state government.
According to the Ministry, the partnership aims to expand the creative economy across Anambra by localising federal initiatives, restoring heritage sites, empowering artisans, and creating sustainable opportunities within the cultural and creative value chain.
The initiative, under the Renewed Hope Cultural Project, will include the establishment of Creative and Cultural Villages, rehabilitation of historic landmarks, and the implementation of skills development programmes.
Musawa said the collaboration reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring that the benefits of its creative and cultural policies reach every community across Nigeria.
