The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of candidates contesting various elective positions in Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
The document, titled Final List of Candidates for the 2027 General Election, was signed by the Commission’s Secretary, Rose Oriaran Anthony.
It contains the names of candidates and their political parties for the presidential, senatorial, House of Representatives, governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
The list also identifies presidential candidates and their running mates, as well as governorship candidates and their deputies. It provides details of the candidates’ ages, genders and educational qualifications.

INEC has scheduled the presidential and National Assembly elections for January 16, 2027, while the governorship and State House of Assembly elections will hold on February 6, 2027.
The publication of the final candidates’ list is part of the Commission’s timetable for conducting the 2027 general elections.
INEC is expected to release further details of activities planned to ensure the successful conduct of the elections.
