Eid-el-Kabir: NSCDC Mobilises Massive Security Deployment

To ensure a hitch-free celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed over 56,000 personnel. The  deployment is aimed at protecting lives, property, and Critical National Assets.

The Commandant-General of the NSCDC, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, who ordered the deployment, also directed the immediate mobilisation of operational vehicles, ambulances, boats, and K9 units to ensure rapid response during emergencies.

To counter potential security breaches, the Commandant-General has placed all specialised tactical squads on high alert. These include the Mining Marshals, the Special Intelligence Squad, the Crack Squad, the Female Special Force, and the Rapid Response Squad.

To ensure a seamless execution of the security master plan, a strict supervisory framework has been activated. Zonal Commanders have been mandated to directly supervise commands within their jurisdiction and coordinate closely with State Commandants, while State Commandants are to ensure full compliance with operational orders by monitoring Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, and Outpost Heads.

The NSCDC reaffirmed its commitment to working in synergy with other security agencies and the general public. Citizens are urged to support the Corps by providing timely information on any security threats to enable a swift response.
