The National Assembly had been due to resume its sittings on Tuesday, 23rd September 2025, following a two-month annual recess that commenced on 23rd July 2025.
During the recess, only plenary sessions were suspended, with other legislative duties continuing. Standing and ad-hoc committees remained active throughout the break, conducting investigative hearings and engaging with stakeholders on pending bills.
This ensured that parliamentary work proceeded even while members were absent from the chamber.
